A workspace operated as a service

Distributed users needed controlled access to internal applications without depending on individually configured desktops. The workspace had to balance user experience, security, image consistency, profile behavior, capacity, and support.

The foundation treated desktop delivery as an operated service. Images, host pools, access, profiles, monitoring, and update ownership were designed together and validated through a pilot.

Outcome

Users received a more consistent remote workspace while operations gained repeatable images, clearer capacity signals, and support ownership. Exceptions remained visible rather than becoming unmanaged desktop drift.
